At Lexington Furniture, we have a lot of chairs. Big chairs, little chairs, leather chairs, and fabric chairs. Chairs with ottomans, chairs that swivel, and chairs that recline. You could say we have hundreds of different chairs (seriously, we
do.) You could say we are chair experts (we actually take classes on this.) And all of our chairs are comfortable.
One of our chair manufacturers takes the comfort factor to a new level. Actually, that is their main focus. All else is secondary. While the do strive to make a product that is ergonomically correct, even their name is based around the comfort idea. Ekornes Stressless didn’t invent the wheel- they just made it more comfortable.
The Stressless line has a very distinct look and feel. There are many imitations, but the style and construction of an Ekornes Stressless chair is unique. We could get into the details (we take classes on this, remember) but that might take a while. Just trust us that these chairs are as much of an engineering masterpiece as much as they are a work of art or a piece of furniture.
And now they make office chairs. And I want one. Badly. Here are just a few of features that make this new office chair exciting. Like most office chairs this chair sits and rolls on wheels and swivels and reclines. That is where the likeness between your chair and the Ekorness Stressless chair ends.
The headrest changes positions as the position of the chair changes- adjusting automatically so you can read and watch television, even in a reclining position.
The proprietary Plus system adjusts the lower lumbar support simultaneously with the headrest. Upright or reclined, you are always perfectly supported.
You can easily raise or lower the headrest to your liking with one simple movement.
Each chair comes with adjustable Stressless Glide wheels to allow you to customize the amount of effort it takes to shift the seating position or recline. Once you have found the perfect setting, you simply shift your body weight to make the chair adjust to your desired position.
Different levels of density foam in Comfort Zones give you a better seating comfort, as the indentations let you sink deeper into the seat and back of the recliner.
As an employee who uses and abuses his office chair, I would like to formally throw my name into the hat as a product tester. So what do you think about this chair? Let us know- we always love to hear your opinions! Be sure to look for this chair coming to our showroom soon!
