So I have to confess that as a child, I hated card catalogs. Can’t explain it. Same things with clowns, but that is a different story and we won’t go into it. Card catalogs scared me. Maybe it was all the little hand written cards that were hiding just waiting to annoy me. I much preferred to wonder the miles of standardized shelving looking for the perfect book to do my book report on.
Fast forward far too many years. This Before and After post I just saw on Re-Nest might just help me get over the fear that has been held deep down for too long.
So this is the card catalog before, as descrobed by the nifty lettering right on the picture. Right back to a fourth grade version of me, cautiosly walking on the other side of the room just to avoid the card catalog. So this is what they started with and….
Viola! I am so not afraid of this. They have turned it into a beautiful piece of furniture. Taking what they started with, adding a coat of paint, some new flashy hardware and it is beautiful. Just beautiful!
