Durham Furniture manufactured in Canada, crafts fine quality solid wood furniture for today’s home at reasonable prices. Each piece of Durham is corner blocked to prevent racking when moving the furniture, and to add strength to the joints. The inner construction of Durham is made up of mortise and tenon joinery, ensuring structural integrity for the life of the case. English dovetail joints are used on all the drawers to connect the front and back of the drawer to the sides. This type of joinery ensures the drawer stays in square and cannot separate during a lifetime of use. Each of Durham’s cabinets has full dust proofing on the inside of the cabinet. This ensures that dust cannot fall between the drawers and into the drawer below.

Durham takes the finishing process a step further. All the interiors of the drawers are sanded smooth and receive a coat of clear lacquer to insure that garments placed inside the drawers are protected from snags and tears of loose wood. Drawers of each cabinet receive a wood on wood drawer track mounted under the center of each drawer. This will guarantee years of maintenance free use. Back panels are flush fitted to the back of each cabinet. This will ensure the back panels fit without gaps, and add additional rigidity to the cabinet. Durham uses lacquers that resist stains and heat, which will provide years of beauty to your purchase.
