Cresent

Cresent is a family business that is celebrating 60 years in home furnishings, manufacturing furniture by the same time-honored standards on which the company was founded.

Featuring mortise and tenon joinery, dovetailed drawer construction, dovetailed wood on wood drawer guides with safety stops. Their finishes are applied by hand and have two coats of protective lacquer over the highest quality cherry, maple, walnut and mahogany.

Cresent is an environmentally aware company and is continuously working with their finish suppliers toward using low emission producing coatings.

Their designs range from transitional to Art Deco, including updated traditional and contemporary influences.

The Chelsea collection offers bedroom, dining, entertainment and media storage options featuring casual, transitional American inspired style, matched with classic high quality construction techniques. All pieces with doors feature the reversible cane panels making Chelsea a great fit with coastal and retreat interiors, while the face side boasts classic raised cherry panels, reminiscent of a New England cottage design. A rich tobacco stain highlights the beautiful cathedral grain of the Appalachian cherry. Chelsea is also available in a rubbed antique white finish accented with antique pewter knobs.

The Regent’s Park collection is inspired by 19th century English antiques found on the estates of Lincolnshire county. Regent's Park offers classic styling without all the formal trappings. Crafted of book-matched Appalachian Cherry with Walnut and Mappa burl inlay, the finish is hand-rubbed, antiqued, with burnished brass hardware. The traditional lines encourage mixing with antiques and family heirlooms to enable today’s consumer to express their own individual sense of style.

Artisan joins the serenity and simplicity of traditional Asian styling with the Arts and Crafts school to create a transitional collection of bedroom, dining, and accent pieces. Crafted of cathedral and quarter-cut walnut veneers in a rich, aged caramel finish, along with custom-designed hardware completes the clean, transitional styling perfectly suited for modern living.

The Crossings Collection is inspired by the era of the luxury liners crossing the oceans for leisure travel. Even though this is not the era of Art Deco style, some of those design elements do come through in the designs for the Crossings. The lines are clean and elegant, and reflect the grandeur of the day.

Kingston is inspired by 19th century antiques found in England and represents the best of Continental European and English traditional styling. Crafted in cherry with an antiqued chestnut finish, the Kingston collection offers classic elements of the old world, updated with modern conveniences such as jewelry trays and entertainment armoires.

Aware of the interest in modern styles and motifs known as Art Deco, which was introduced to the masses by the Paris Exposition of 1925, designers and manufacturers created Moderne, a bold new look that represented popular taste and fashion. Cresent's Moderne collection harkens back to the spirit of the 1930's representing a remarkable decade in the history of furniture design, which includes clean simple lines, geometric forms, with flat surfaces and straight lines combined with graceful curves. These are the dominant design elements of this exciting collection of contemporary furniture, which will always be in good taste and can make any home a penthouse on Park Avenue.
