Description :

The Legacy Sleigh Bed is inspired by an illustration found in the Cooper-Hewitt branch of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries. Known as The Doris and Henry Dreyfuss Study Center, this library contains 60,000 volumes documenting the decorative arts, including several rare 18th century furniture trade catalogs and historic home decorating periodicals. A treasure itself, the sleigh bed features 19th century Empire styling with curvaceous corner posts that join a curved headboard panel with square turned feet. A low paneled footboard with clean molding details completes the look. The bed is presented in a luxuriant figured walnut veneer in a Heritage Brown finish.
