Round Dining Table

Description :
The Rotunda Dining Table (from the Latin rotundus, meaning “round”) was inspired by an early 20th century pedestal extension table made in Brooklyn, New York. Tables with expanding frames that could accommodate loose leaves grew in popularity in the 19th century and were used primarily for dining. This handsome round dining table has an added table leaf that allows it to expand from a 58-inch round to an 82-inch oblong size. In a pie-shaped design pattern, the table top is made of highly figured pin knotty cherry veneers with a Castle Brick finish that rests on a robust pedestal base carved with a beautiful pattern of swirling acanthus leaves.
