Folio Splat Back Arm Chair

Description :
The development of the late 18th century high style English dining room is exemplified in the holdings of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries’ Cooper-Hewitt branch. The Folio dining chairs, whose name refers to the many large and noteworthy rare editions in the Libraries, showcase this same design style with a gently angled and pierced vasiform back and shaped crest rail. Pin knotty cherry veneers in a Castle Brick finish highlight the beautifully carved cabriole legs.
